Permissions / Future
The extant permissions and current ROMPs conditions conform to the manner in which the mine operated prior to its closure in 1998. Accordingly, certain new and revised permissions are required in order to operate a modern trackless mining operation. There are currently three applications in preparation for submission to Cornwall Council. These are as follows:1) Variation for the use of the Tuckingmill Decline to bring ore to the surface for processing.
2) Relocation of the processing plant and other buildings.
3) Extension to the underground planning permission area.
The applications are now expected to be submitted during January/February 2010, details of which will be available here following submission. Prior to this a public consultation has been held to provide information, see below for details:
